Let’s face it, working from home can both be daunting and lonely. If you have a creative brain, or you know…neurospicy tendencies, you might find motivation well, um…difficult. I discovered that I could utilize the virtual reality platform of Second Life, and my friendships built within, to help with motivation by incorporating some soft accountability. We now know the term “body doubling”. At the time though we just called it “Productivity Pad”.
I got to work quickly creating a virtual studio space that originally served as a gallery for my work. In 2012 I also incorporated various interactive workstations to serve an “in world” representation of some of the creative tasks that take up our day. The goal was to create a fully immersive and inspiring environment that enhances the creative flow for the work-at-home creative or solopreneur .
In addition to the virtual-physical aspects of the studio, it’s the emotional and relational need for the solopreneur is where this space shines!
We can connect and collaborate effortlessly without concerns of geographical boundaries. This space allows like-minded individuals to share ideas, and collaborate effortlessly on a global sense. This allows us to expand our network and broaden our horizons. We have the opportunity to engage in real-time discussions, brainstorming sessions, and collaborate with fellow creatives and solopreneurs. Talk about promoting synergy and mutual growth!
If this sounds intriguing to you…Click here at the landmark to join our co-working session. The studio is available 24/7. However my productivity partner and I are in the studio every Monday-Friday (except US government holidays) 8am SLT/PDT
